TIE-DYE TECHNIQUES
Before starting your project, refer to the General Instructions. Create awesome tie-dye projects with a splatter here, a swirl there or even a cool bullseye! Choose one design or mix and match designs for a one-of-a-kind creation! Remember, there’s no perfect way to tie dye. In fact, part of the fun is the surprise you get when you see the finished results.
Lay fabric on protected work surface. Decide where swirl will be. Pinch fabric at this point. Twist fabric around into a flat spiral. Bind with 3 rubber bands, creating 6 wedge shapes. Apply dye on wedges using as many colors as desired.
Swirl
Lay fabric on protected work surface. Scrunch fabric, using your fingers. Apply dye either all over or in a design.
Crumple
Lay fabric flat on protected work surface. Decide where you want center of bullseye to be. Pull up fabric in a tube shape. Place rubber bands along length of fabric. Apply dye on each section as desired.
